Key Harvest

Our next item is up and running. You can check it out and bid on it here. The game is Key Harvest, a strategy board game for 2-4 players that was Games magazine's Best Advanced Strategy game for 2009.
The object of the game in Key Harvest is to score the most points. Players score points by placing tiles on their own country board. Each player has the same board, but there is only one of each tile, so there is competition when two players want the same tile. One point is scored for each field tile in the player’s largest group of connected field tiles and two points for each tile in their second largest connected group.

The comic was created by writer Robert Kirkman and artist Tony Moore and chronicles the travels of a group of people trying to survive in a world stricken by a zombie apocalypse. A television series was announced to be in production on August 11, 2009. The Walking Dead is centered on Rick Grimes, a small-town police officer from Cynthiana, Kentucky, his family, and a number of other survivors who have banded together in order to survive after the world is overrun with zombies. Planetary is an organization billing themselves as "Archaeologists of the Impossible", tracking down the world's secret history. Funded by the mysterious Fourth Man, who it is said could be anyone from Bill Gates to Adolf Hitler, the field team consists of three superhumans: Jakita Wagner, who is strong, fast and nearly invulnerable; The Drummer, who can detect and manipulate nearby information streams, most commonly used to manipulate computers and other electronics; the new recruit Elijah Snow, who can extract heat from nearby substances at will, freezing them; and the former third man Ambrose Chase, who has a "selective physics-distortion field". The south sea, AD 1777! Three years after James Cook visited the islands, the islands are embroiled in a contest for possession of legendary shrunken heads. The players' only desire is to acquire these ''head attractions'' for shipment to museums in Europe. Although the islanders are very interested in trading their treasures with the European for the glass beads they offer, their traditions require that such exchanges be done during a special KAWA ritual. Thus, the players must submit to this ritual by playing against each other with their beads for the prized shrunken heads. The winner will leave the island with the treasure. The losers may remain to provide further treasures... From Spielbox: Fiji is a 'super auction game' in which the players offer natives gemstones in exchange for shrunken heads. The offer is compared with four positions which allow new gemstones to be obtained. After four rounds of bidding, the amounts of gemstones that the players own are compared and heads are awarded. After four rounds, the game is over and the player with the most shrunken heads crowned the winner. Remember, the proceeds from these auctions go to fund BobCon.
