The comic was created by writer Robert Kirkman and artist Tony Moore and chronicles the travels of a group of people trying to survive in a world stricken by a zombie apocalypse. A television series was announced to be in production on August 11, 2009. The Walking Dead is centered on Rick Grimes, a small-town police officer from Cynthiana, Kentucky, his family, and a number of other survivors who have banded together in order to survive after the world is overrun with zombies.

Just a follow-up. Have finished volume 1 and looking for more. Amazon to the rescue! =) Was able to use the BobCon Amazon Store to pre-order StarCraft 2, and also grab a copy of The Walking Dead, Volume 2, all while supporting BobCon. Such warm fuzzies! =)

I was out of the comic book reading hobby for several years, but I have to say that I was glad that i came back to reading comic books again. One of the first titles that hooked me this second time around was Kirkman's The Walking Dead for Image Comics. I have to say that its taken the current renaissance of zombie films and books and ran away with it.
