What is BobCon?
BobCon is two and a half days of pure gaming satisfaction. You want board games? BobCon's got ‘em. You want roleplaying games? BobCon's got ‘em. You want card or strategy games? BobCon's got ‘em.
BobCon is a small annual gaming convention held in Kansas City each fall. It's more of a gamer's retreat: no vendors, limited seating, and a very limited entry fee.
Dates
October 25 - 27, 2013
Location
BobCon will be held at the Cove's Clubhouse again this year, north of the river at 8221 N. Overland Drive, KCMO 64151.
Registration
This year we are changing things up a bit. Last year moved from a donation-only system to a registration fee. This year we have increased our pre-event fundraising efforts in order to subsidize registration fees. The goal here is to have auctions, advertising, and sponsorships pay for event space so we don't have to charge a thing. More information will be made available on how this effort progresses (going well so far). We want to ensure you will attend, so if for some reason you are unable to make a donation (or even if you simply do not want to) DO NOT let that stop you from coming. Your presence is what makes BobCon enjoyable. SO BE THERE!
Cost
The cost for players/participants is only $5 per day or $10 for the whole weekend. If you aren't playing a game or participating in an event then you pay nothing. Also, small children cost nothing. Since this is half of the price of last year's cost there is no discount for paying early – but you can use the donation button on the Website to go ahead and get your payment out of the way. We are also happy to accept any additional donations if you feel BobCon is worth it.
Schedule
Just like other gaming conventions there are slots that folks sign-up to play in games or other events. Event Slots will be 2 hours each and run continuously through the day. Longer games and RPGs may need to take multiple slots (which will be accounted for during scheduling).

Kids
This is a kid-friendly event. The children will have an area in which to play and an outdoor area to run around (weather permitting). This year we would like to to ask for parents to volunteer for supervision duty. Babysitters and substitution are welcome – in fact, if you know of a reliable babysitter who might want to earn some extra money please find out their fees and availability and let the BobCon staff know. More information will be sent out once it is known. Suggestions for activities are also appreciated.
